Our idea
The idea of “Mousika Kazania” was born out of a deep need for connection—not just through music, but through human connection. We want to create a place and a time where music will be the source around which we gather to sing, learn, and celebrate together, gradually building a community of solidarity and coexistence. We want to create a space where musical knowledge is shared in an interactive, active, experiential, and dynamic way, and to build a vibrant musical community that transcends the boundaries of our region and connects people, traditions, and sounds.
Organization, Who we are
Thenia Prantikou
Thenia Prantikou was born in Athens and is originally from Kouklioi, Ioannina. She has been involved in music since a young age, studying classical guitar and voice. In recent years, she has been taking oud and amane lessons with Evgenios Voulgaris while continuing her vocal training with Eva Xenou. She has attended seminars at the Music Courts of Ikaria and at the Labyrinth of Crete. For years, she has performed rebetika and old folk songs with bands in Patras, though she now focuses on the music of the eastern Mediterranean and the Smyrna-style tradition. She is a member of the “Sakaraka Band” and co-created the performance “Tis thalassas vasto kakia” (“I Bear the Sea’s Cruelty”), which addresses the theme of uprooting. She has co-organized artistic and social events in Patras through collective initiatives.

Since our founding in 2022, our company’s mission has been to promote and raise social awareness, with an emphasis on culture and environmental protection. The company’s goal is the non-profit production of cultural projects for the benefit of culture itself, social education, and, more broadly, the non-anthropocentric environment. With all of the above in mind, our collaboration with “MOUSIKA KAZANIA,” its people, and Epirus was a natural choice and a tremendous honor for us.
